5. Regular physical activity: – Physical activity goes a long way in controlling high blood pressure. This regular activity also helps strengthen your heart and reduce stress levels.
6. Get a night’s good sleep: – Not getting enough sleep can make your blood pressure worse. You should sleep at least for more than 6 hours to keep your blood pressure under control.
7. Regular relaxation and meditation: – A number of exercises, meditation and relaxation that help to calm the mind can also lower blood pressure. According to a scientific statement by the American Heart Association published in the journal, Meditation can moderately lower blood pressure.
8. Reduce salt (sodium) in your diet: – Most of our foods contain sodium. Consuming such a diet carries a risk of high blood pressure, so adults should consume less than 5 grams of salt per day.
